Mark Pennells - Director
“Where there’s a will there’s a way” should be Mark’s mantra as he always manages to make things work out when no one else can. As a founding director of Innervation, and other music ministries, this stuff really is in his blood and he just can’t get enough of it. Mark has written lyrics on over 300 songs with his co-writer Zarc. Mark’s clear thinking and “don’t give up” attitude have helped take Innervation from strength to strength. He is also one of the better groomed members of staff, with the record for the most haircuts and new pairs of shoes!
About Us
Innervation Trust is a UK based Christian charity that creates and develops music, artists and projects to bring today’s young people a message of hope.
Over the last 10 years Innervation has worked in 100s of schools across the UK, taking RE lessons, dance classes, PHSE, music lessons and assemblies, as well as staging massive gigs in school halls. Our teams have also recorded and produced hundreds of school albums for primary schools across the UK.
We have also toured festivals, conferences, churches and prisons in the UK, Europe, Africa and the USA, performing music and presenting the Christian message to hundreds of thousands of young people.
Innervation Trust currently runs:
– our recording studio and music production label
– our primary school singing and recording project
– our latest artist, performing in primary schools, festivals & conferences
Our previous projects include: thebandwithnoname, tbc, Collective, Shine and V*enna.
Helen Kendall - iSingWorship Church Networker
Helen’s role in Innervation is networking with churches, showing them how iSingWorship can be a massive part of their worship programme. Her background is in mime, dancing and choreography, but in the past she has done all sorts of jobs at Innervation due to her versatility, including managing the Collective network of schools teams and team leading/dancing for thebandwithnoname. Helen is the queen of practicality and a fantastic asset to the Innervation team. She’s been known to plan road trips around Costa Coffees and the availability of sushi!

Helen Brown - Office Manager
The brains behind the whole operation, Helen Brown is a self confessed spreadsheet geek - really, what she doesn’t know, isn’t worth knowing. Helen does all our important accounts, bills and organising along with being PA to Director Mark. New staff members are all warned not to bother taking Helen on at a game of Trivial Pursuits as she usually wins in the first round (she’s got a Physics degree from Cambridge!)

Andy Silver
Pop Connection National Manager
This man really does eat, sleep and breathe his project! Andy has been developing the Pop Connection project since its inception in 2005 and has seen it go from strength to strength since the days when he did everything each week himself and spent hours traveling the length and breadth of the country. As an ex music teacher Andy is our expert on all things National Curriculum and brings an air of respectability to our sometimes crazy offices!
Dan Stirling
Technical Support/Programmer
Dan is the newest addition to the Innervation team – he is a valuable support to Zarc in his studio work and also goes out on Pop Connection weeks. He’s the proud owner of “Dance Planet” on cassette tape and also quite an authority on coffee. The plan is for him to move from making the coffee to being the next Zarc Porter (without the bad jokes!)
Zarc Porter - Director
Commonly known as The Doc, Zarc is the musical genius behind all the Innervation projects. When he’s not overseeing the running of Innervation and Movation Productions, Zarc spends most his time hidden away in the studio making phat beats and mixing tracks! Believe it or not, Zarc actually grew up on a farm and didn’t listen to pop music or own a radio until he was 15!
Ben Dutton
Technical Supervisor
Where would we be a practical technical person! Ben holds all the Innervation technical stuff together: sound, lights and vehicles. What a legend! He also goes on the road with BeBe as a sound engineer, helps out with Pop Connection recording days and is always in demand. Not many people know this but Ben is bit of an adventure maniac and in 2010 is currently planning a trip to Norway - camping, in midwinter! Don’t forget your thermals Ben!

BeBe Vox
Artist
Bebe hardly needs any introduction. Big hair, big voice: we love having BeBe at Innervation because not only is she a phenomenally talented singer, dancer and performer, she’s also an amazing graphic designer! She even designed the page you’re reading now!

Lucy Wells
Dancer and Choreographer
Lovely Lucy was discovered by Innervation during a tbwnn tour to Atlanta. She auditioned a couple of times and was accepted to join our girl pop band tbc. After serving faithfully in tbc for 3 years she has now joined the BeBe Vox performance team as a dancer and also choreographs large parts of the show.

Claire Bramwell
Logistics Co-ordinator
Claire spends a long time carefully planning logistics for Pop Connection projects that go out up and down the country. She makes sure all our technical staff are in the right place at the right time using the right vehicle! She is also a great person to discuss shoe purchases with!!
